Dr. Walter C. Johnson OBITUARY

Escondido, CA– Walter Courtney Johnson, a devoted father, proud grandfather, and respected oral surgeon, ed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, at the age of 86.

Born on November 23, 1938, in Wisconsin, Walter lived a life defined by integrity, quiet strength, and deep devotion to both his family and his profession. After completing his education and surgical training, he dedicated his career to oral surgery, where he earned the respect of patients and colleagues alike through his steady hands, comion, and unwavering professionalism.

Outside of his work, Walter was most proud of his family. He is survived by his five children and fifteen grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He will be remem- bered for his dry wit, calm presence, and the wisdom he so generously shared with those around him.

Walter, who was raised in Minnesota, was a lifelongdevotee of the Minnesota Vikings football team. He loved sports, and was a champion golfer and basketball player.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Emanuel Faith Community Church in Escondido, California. A reception will follow the service.

Walter’s legacy of love, humility, and grace will live on in the many lives he touched.
