Re “Tariffs pose ominous threat to regional economy” (April 21): Thank you to Congressman Mike Levin for his op-ed about the harm that tariffs will do to our region. Tariffs hurt all regions, not only ours. According to a statement from Bespoke Investment Group that was quoted by The Wall Street Journal, the S&P 500’s performance since Inauguration Day is the worst for any president since 1928. This impacts people everywhere who want to retire or send their kids to college. I call on Congress to Levin’s Prevent Tariff Abuse Act, which would limit the president’s ability to impose these tariffs that are harming the American people.
