
The Clean Energy Alliance is taking applications for its Community Advisory Committee through Dec. 21, the agency announced in a news release.
There is one opening for each of the seven member cities: Del Mar, Solana Beach, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos and Escondido. The committee has 14 total , two each from each city.
The committee is responsible for making recommendations to the board of directors about policy, programs, rates for residential and business customers, and other aspects of CEA operations. serve two-year . According to the CEA, term limits “have been removed to preserve valuable expertise.”
The Clean Energy Alliance Board of Directors, which consists of a city council member from each city, is scheduled to review applications and appoint the new committee at its Jan. 30 meeting.

The Clean Energy Alliance’s board of directors will also have a new chair after Del Mar City Councilmember Dave Druker, who held the position over the last two years, did not seek re-election to the council in the November election.
